Acupuncturists – when contacting me for advice on patients please provide me with the medical history as well as abdominal findings (including neck and back) so I can correlate those with the symptoms and offer you my best advice.
This style is not about which points to use, but rather about why the person got the condition they are in now and addressing that, what predisposed them to it, what might be contributing to it, or locking it.
Sometimes you can just use points that will, say, release the neck, but sometimes these will not work until you address the person’s constitution or the reason why they got this issue. That is why we use abdominal findings as a diagnostic tool, to understand what else is going on for the person, so we can try and unlock whatever it is that is holding their problem, even if “officially” it is unrelated.
